You, the customer can perform most all of these steps unless denoted, or you can provide the login to the existing host to us (you will still be responsible for checking for and forwarding emails to us).

You may have purchased a website, and the host themselves provided you with a domain, or they resold you a domain from one of their registrars. Do you know who the actual registrar is, and do you have an account access with the registrar (who is not necessarily the website host)?

Can you successfully log in to the existing registrar? (again, may not be the same as your web host)

IF the previous host does not allow you to directly access the registrar login (such as YP, HIBU, etc): please email us your domain name, your full name, business physical address, business phone number, contact phone number, your hours of availability by phone, email address, and the name/URL of your host to domains@dollaradaysites.net with the subject NO REGISTRAR ACCESS and we will be in touch within 1 business day to schedule a call as described here: https://help.dollaradaysites.net/knowledgebase.php?article=25

Once logged in to the registrar, you have option to continue fully on your own or share the registrar login with us (for us to handle the needed changes in a concierge manner on your behalf).

Any domain privacy packages must be disabled/cancelled, and allowed time (typically 12 business hours) to propogate.

Once the contact email account used as the registrant and administrator of the domain is visible, you must get access to that email account. YOU MUST NOT UPDATE THE EMAIL ADDRESS ON FILE WITH EXISTING REGISTRAR, THAT IMPOSES A 60 DAY LOCK. You must regain access to that email account at all cost, or hand the registrar credentials and process over to us. The contact email of the domain is NOT the contact email for your login with that registrar. They may be set to the same email address, but they reside in two different sets of credentials that do not interoperate. THE REGISTRANT AND ADMINISTRATOR CONTACT EMAIL ON FILE CANNOT BE A DOMAIN-RELATIVE EMAIL TO THE DOMAIN BEING TRANSFERRED, DOMAIN-RELATIVE EMAILS WILL NOT FUNCTION DURING THE TRANSFER PROCESS. If you need to submit the registrar credentials to us for us to handle these steps in a concierge manner, email the login info along with your domain name, your full name, business physical address, business phone number, business email address, contact phone number, email address, and the registrar login URL to domains@dollaradaysites.net with the subject REGISTRAR HANDOFF and we will be in touch within 3 business days, to perform the steps here: https://help.dollaradaysites.net/knowledgebase.php?article=26

Then the domain must be unlocked (typically takes up to 2 hours to apply).

Then the domain transfer/epp code must be requested at the old host, and it will be sent to the contact email on file for the domain at the registrar.

Now that the domain contacts are NOT modified and accessible, the domain is not under privacy, and is unlocked, and you have the epp/transfer code - you may submit the epp code along with your domain name, your full name, business physical address, business phone number, contact phone number, email address, and name/URL of your registrar to: domains@dollaradaysites.net with the subject TRANSFER IN READY and we will be in touch within 1 business day, to notify you of the next steps here: https://help.dollaradaysites.net/knowledgebase.php?article=24
