 Domain ownership & access

Solution

Domains are retained and managed as property of our clients. We make no direct claims of ownership on domains in accounts in good standing.

While your domain is with us, we administer the nameservers and dns records, and will gladly implement any changes to the records that you need, even to services external to us – free of charge. We do not provide the customer direct cpanel access to those settings.

Also for the duration that your domain is with us, we list the domain whois records as our information – to maintain your privacy, security, and reduce the mass of solicitation, spam, and scam emails, mails, calls, & faxes that unfortunately accompany domain ownership - that you would otherwise receive; and also to ease the process of service verification for any services that you would have us implement for you.

We do choose from a selection of backend providers, at our discretion, as registrar providers (a common practice in the industry).

Domain unlock and epp(transfer) code can be requested from us at any time that a domain is not under an ICANN required lock.

When a domain is transferred-out away from us, it is the responsibility of the domain owner to see to it that the whois and dns records are updated after successful transfer completion.

When a domain is transferred-in to us, it is the responsibility of the domain owner to see to it that any tertiary providers are updated or cancelled, respectively - post transfer completion.

Typically a business owner or manager with a company/organization does not have the time or interest to become well versed in domain policies, procedures, maintenance, and operation - therefore it is our goal to provide a domain experience that is headache free. We handle domains in a concierge manner on your (the client's) behalf.

We keep the domain renewed on a yearly interval on the domain’s renewal anniversary (which may not be your Dollar A Day Websites customer agreement anniversary) as part of your agreement with us.
